::Great accommodation, extremely clean & well appointed with plenty of room to spread out. All bedrooms have their own bathroom. Located in a quiet rural setting, but only a very short car trip into Burnt Pine. Robyn, the owner is most friendly & informative. We, 2 couples, absolutely enjoyed our 1 weeks stay in a 2 bedroom cottage.

::We were met at the airport by Robyn. Loaded up the included rental car and followed Robyn to our accommodation. The cottage was prepared for our arrival - very spacious and just very nice. Well equipped with quality furnishings and utensils etc. Free to air TV available. Two bedroom cottage with one room locked off as we had booked a single bedroom cottage. Full laundry and a kitchen stocked with everything, including the sink. We were also supplied with a mobile phone and local sim card, having to work pay for calls only. Internet is available at the cottage - $5 for 1 hour, $20 for 5 hours (it runs by the clock until you click that log off button so don’t leave it running.) The area is very peaceful and quiet with only the occasional bull calling out. The location is fairly central but the island is small enough to go anywhere in no time. Shops and restaurants were random, closed mostly, and if not careful you could be without dinner, so stocking the fridge is important. The free tour was well worth going on - other than the expected history lesson, some local knowledge was welcomed. We stayed for four nights thinking it would be enough time on the small island but it wasn’t - we’ll be back and will be staying at Tradewinds.

::Absolutely fantastic. Secluded property, surrounded by nature. Lovely and quiet. Rooms were huge. Heater in the lounge perfect for an early winter stay. All self sufficient. Robyn was a wonderful hostess. Provided us with local fruits and greeted us with flowers on the table. Set us up with everything we needed including a hire car and half day tour. The property is rustic/country with a huge day bed, outside dining, coffee setting and bbq, all on a 3/4 wrap around covered verandah - that's all in the Jacob Christian Homestead. 3 girls had a bedroom and bathroom each. Also comes with a friendly dog to pet - thanks Luigi. Just don't let him in the house or he will stay (and get into trouble). I am trying to work out when I can go back again. Perfect place to unwind and the sea air is all around - you can't see it from this property but you can feel it. Fresh and relaxing.
